Dr. Tanmoy Rudra

Dr. Tanmoy Rudra is the General Secretary of International Foundation for Environment and Ecology since its inception. He is an outstanding researcher, innovator and academician of national and international repute. He is a great visionary, institution builder, research mentor and very innovative administrator. After completing higher education he joined Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi as a scientist and developed environmental education and research throughout India and has also contributed significantly for the development of education in India. He has served as Pro Vice Chancellor of Seacom Skills University, West Bengal and presently associated as the Director of Scientific and Environmental Research Institute, Kolkata. He is also the Executive Secretary of Confederation of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

He has been associated with the urban as well as rural environmental education movement for the last fifteen years. He has participated in more than fifty national and international congresses and conventions on human rights, duties, education, environmental protection, sustainable development, peace studies, conflict resolution and disaster management held between 1999 and 2015. He has brought out many occasional monographs and case books related to Environmental Science, Sustainable Development , Habitat Studies & Geo Science under the able guidance of the world renowned Environmental Scientist Prof. Priya Ranjan Trivedi.

More than 50 training programmes on environmental analysis including air, water and noise pollution control have been conducted under his dynamic leadership for the participants from public as well as private sector organisations for acquiring expert knowledge in the areas of pollution monitoring and control, environmental impact assessment and risk analysis.

Dr. Tanmoy Rudra has designed a master plan for solving different educational problems of India by suggesting solutions for solving the burning and contemporary issues like unemployment, poverty, pollution and population explosion.

Dr. Rudra has the credit of authoring the books named Biodiversity Extinction and Deforestation, Marine Pollution and Management, Capacity Building Programmes on Disaster Management, Glossary of Geoscience, Fundamentals of Research Methodology, Ecological Protection and the 10 volume Encyclopedia of Science Education.

He has mentored 10 Ph.D., 25 M.Phil and 40 Post Graduate scholars who are occupying significant research positions in academics and industry all over the world. He has published more than 20 research papers in different International peer reviewed reputed journals.

Dr. Tanmoy Rudra is associated with many national and international reputed academic institutions like The Global Open University Nagaland, Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University, Arunachal Pradesh; Pragyan International University, Ranchi, Jharkhand; National Institute of Cleanliness Education and Research (NICER), New Delhi, Commonwealth Vocational University, Tonga; Trinity World University, UK Overseas Territory; Indian Institute of Geoinformatics, New Delhi; Commonwealth Vocational Education and Research (COVER).

He is actively involved with "Swach Bharat Aviyan" envisaged by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India since its inception.

Dr. Rudra is the pioneer entrepreneur of International Conference on Environment and Ecology (ICEE). He is also the Founder Chairman of International Benevolent Research Foundation (IBRF) and also the Founder Chairman of International Academy of Science and Research (IAScR).
